Fire Inspections

Fire inspections are intended to identify and correct hazards that might exist and could cause a fire or cause a fire to spread, or limit the ability of people to exit from a building if a fire were to occur. Fire inspections are an opportunity for New Richmond Fire & Rescue Department personnel to educate property owners about common fire prevention loss methods and promote a safer work and/or living environment. The New Richmond Fire and Rescue Department strives to provide the best level of loss prevention and control possible through education and cooperation with property owners. General inspections are scheduled once a year for businesses and apartments with three or more living units. Qualified fire inspectors are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
